Hi everyone,
Connect Community Festival is on again, and this year is scheduled for Saturday 7 April, 12 – 4pm at Aveley Central Park.
Due to the success of last year’s event, the City of Swan will be partnering for a second year with the Ellenbrook Community Collective and a great team of Steering Group members to deliver this year’s event.
As always, your community group, sporting club or not-for-profit community service is invited to host a free market stall or interactive display. Last year’s Connect attracted a crowd of approximately 5000 local residents, so it’s a great opportunity to promote your group, recruit new members and/or fundraise. Please note, all stallholders will be required to supply their own 3x3 m marquee, table, chairs and any other furniture or equipment they may require.
From experience, the most successful groups make their stalls as attractive and interactive as possible, so if you would like some ideas or suggestions on how to make your stall more engaging, please don’t hesitate to get in contact! There are also local grants available to assist your group, including purchase promotional materials or equipment for occasions such as these, so please let me know if you would like more information about them too.
No further actions are required for now, as the application process will be managed through the Collective’s website https://www.ellenbrookcollective.com.au/. I will be back in touch to let you know when the online form is live on the website to express your group’s interest.
All my best, and speak soon,
Annie
